My favourite aspect of this short task was the way we set the piece up. The reason why this was my favourite aspect of the video is because I felt it was the bit of the video that had the most impact on the final piece. Another aspect of the piece that I felt was my favourite is how our continuity could have been almost perfect apart from one little blip with the sound. Apart from that the continuity was quite good and the overall piece flowed quite well.

My least favourite aspect of this video was the dialogue. The reason being is that I don’t feel that the dialogue was very well organised and I also feel that it was a bit random. It also made it hard to place a soundtrack over the top of the actual video as we had to cut the song before the dialogue. I also feel that the loss in sound ruined the mood a little bit.
I feel that our group could improve the dialogue. Another thing I feel our group could improve is the loss of ambient sound. There is one section in our product where the sound is completely lost and this is quite obvious to the viewers. I feel that we could do this by maybe re-filming the two shots. If we were to undertake this task again, I would personally try and make the sound a lot smoother and if there was as slight problem I’d add a wild track in place of the missing sound/dialogue.
This is very good, well presented work Megan. Well done. I think you could have explore the actual CONTINUITY CONVENTIONS, such as 180 degree rule, eyeline matches, match cuts on action, establishing shots etc, a little further, but otherwise this is a solid first piece. Well done.
